Landlord insurance customers should make sure they advertise their properties with letting agents who list their properties online.

Online letting agents are reporting an increase in enquiries from people looking to rent properties, as opposed to buy properties. For example, Email4Property has announced that it has received a rise in these types of enquiries, with 84 per cent of those contacting the site being keen to rent rather than buy.

The industry says that the past three months has been one of busiest in recent times in terms of online rental property enquiries. Steve Lees, Property Talk Live’s head of marketing, said that the market was becoming “far more active.” He added, “Landlords are able to increasingly let back-to-back, avoiding empty periods.”

However, to achieve these kinds of results, advertising online is imperative. Making sure your property is easy to view on several different websites helps to drive prospective tenants to your property. Online marketing is helping landlords to make sure they are getting the very most out of this period of prosperity for buy-to-let mortgage holders, driven by the recent rises in house prices.
